Frequently Asked Questions
Timelines vary due to several factors, including availability. For this reason, I recommend you inquire as soon as you’ve set your wedding date and booked your venue. Set aside 8-12 weeks for the custom design process.
How long do custom wedding invitations take?
I penned my first calligraphed envelopes in 2014 and celebrated 10 years in the industry in 2024. Lupine Letters was established in 2018. Since then, as a wedding stationery designer I have worked with over 100 clients. I have created invitations for weddings in Camel Valley, Tuscany, and Provence, and mailed over 10,000 invitations to households all over the world.
How many years have you been in the wedding industry?
Beyond the creative freedom that invitation design presents me, I adore working with couples to create something truly special for their wedding. It is through connection and collaboration with my clients that I am able to incorporate personal elements into the designs that add a layer of intimacy that resonates with guests. It’s the little details that sometimes mean the most!
What is your favorite thing about being a wedding invitation designer?
Rooted in storytelling, I design with a balanced and artful eye. I specialize in combining classic influences with modern elegance and my designs are adored for their thoughtful personalizations.
how would you describe your style?
Custom wedding invitations are designed from the ground up. As a wedding invitation designer, I use personal details from your love story and draw inspiration from the wedding itself to create heirloom invitations that are miniature works of art. You can add embellishments like fine European twine, silk ribbon, wax seals, and curated postage for that extra special touch. The sky is the limit!
how can i customize my wedding suite?
You would be surprised at the options available! There are far too many to list on the website. Send me an email or fill out the inquiry form, and we can hop on a call to discuss what you’re looking for.
What if I don’t see the paper/print method/envelope type I’m looking for?
Absolutely! I am well-versed in wedding invitation wording and etiquette and will be there to help you every step of the way. Need help now? Check out the Wedding Invitation Etiquette Series over on the blog!
Can you help me with wording and etiquette? I’m feeling overwhelmed.
Each custom wedding invitation suite is guaranteed three free design rounds. Once I create your artwork and layout for each suite element, you will receive a realistic mockup of each piece of your invitation suite. I’ll guide you through my easy-to-use proofing process, allowing you to provide feedback on each design element. Rest assured, I am 100% committed to ensuring every detail is just right before sending files into production.
How does the proofing process work?
Because not every guest will need their own invitation, guest count and invitation quantity are two different numbers. I recommend you order one invitation suite per household, but there are a few exceptions to this rule. Children over 18 who live at home with their parents should receive their own invitation. Unmarried couples living apart should each receive their own invitation if they are both invited guests (no plus one). Roommates should each receive their own invitation, as long as they are all invited guests (not someone’s plus one). I recommend ordering 7-10 extra invitations.
How many invitation sets should I order?
Planning an elopement or intimate wedding? I’m here to help! Small gatherings don’t have to mean skimping on the details. My print vendors can print as few as 25 invitation suites to meet your needs. Or, I can design a gorgeous wedding announcement to send the news of your marriage to family and friends. Send me an email or fill out the inquiry form to get started!
Do you have a minimum number of invitations?
Postage is not included in the pricing unless specified. Based on current USPS rates as of January 2025, each wedding invitation will require a minimum of $1.47 in postage. This amount covers two ounces and ensures your invitations will be hand-canceled and processed outside the postal machines.
DOES PRICING INCLUDE POSTAGE?
As a full-service stationery studio, I offer all my clients complimentary assembly and mailing services. I consult with my local post office on the required postage amount and hand-deliver every envelope to the post office for hand-canceling. However, due to the nature of the postal system, there is always the risk that items will be lost, delayed, returned, or damaged in the process.
Do you mail our invitations for us?
I ship international packages via DHL or FedEx. Once your invitations are packaged, I will weigh the package and invoice you for the exact shipping costs. The invoice must be paid before the final package is shipped. I am not responsible for delays or any applicable customs fees.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, provided I designed your wedding invitations, I can create day-of pieces to match your wedding invitation suite for a well-branded event. Wedding day stationery is a separate project and billed once your wedding invitations are complete. I recommend booking day-of items 6-8 weeks before your wedding date.
Do you offer day-of items such as programs, menus, table numbers, etc?
I thought you would never ask! Send me an email or fill out the inquiry form and let's get started dreaming up your perfect stationery suite.
