How long do custom invitations take?
Timelines vary due to a number of factors, including availability. For this reason, I recommend you contact your stationer as soon as you’ve nailed down your wedding date and booked your venue. You can expect the process for custom work to take 8-12 weeks. Semi-custom work has a shorter lead time at 6-8 weeks.
How can I customize my invitation suite?
Custom wedding invitations are designed from the ground up. Using personal details from your love story and drawing inspiration from the wedding itself, I design heirloom wedding invitations that are miniature works of art. Additional embellishments can be added to your suite for that extra special touch, like fine French twine, silk ribbon, wax seals, and curated postage. The sky is the limit!
What if I don’t see the paper/print method/envelope type that I’m looking for?
You would be surprised at the options available! In fact, there are far too many to list on the website. Send me an email or fill out the inquiry form and we can hop on a call to discuss what you’re looking for.
Can you help me with wording and etiquette? I’m feeling overwhelmed.
Absolutely! I am well versed in the ins and outs of wedding invitation wording and etiquette and will be there to help you every step of the way. Need help now? Check out the Wedding Invitation Etiquette Series over on the blog!
How does the proofing process work?
Each custom or semi-custom wedding invitation suite is guaranteed 3 free design rounds. Once I create your artwork and layout for each element of your suite, I’ll guide you through my easy to use proofing process that allows you to provide feedback on each element of the design. Rest assured knowing that I am 100% committed to making sure every detail is just right, before sending files into production.
How many invitation sets should I order?
Because not every guest will need their own invitation, guest count and invitation quantity are two different numbers. In general, I recommend you order one invitation suite per household, but there are a few exceptions to this rule. Children over 18 years old, who live at home with their parents should receive their own invitation. Unmarried couples living separately should each receive their own invitation if they are both invited guests (no plus one). Roommates should each receive their own invitation, as long as they are all invited guests (not someone’s plus one).
Do you have a minimum number of invitations?
Planning an elopement or intimate wedding? I’m here to help! Small gatherings don’t have to mean skimping on the details. We can print as few as 25 invitation suites to meet your needs. Or, design a gorgeous wedding announcement to send the news of your marriage to family and friends. Send me an email or fill out the inquiry form to get started!
Does pricing include postage?
Postage is not included in the pricing unless specified. Because the amount of postage varies from suite to suite, I always recommend couples take an invitation to their local post office to be weighed before purchasing postage for the suite.
Do you mail our invitations for us?
For orders over $2500 I offer complimentary assembly and mailing services. I will consult with my local USPS office on the recommended amount of postage and hand-deliver each and every envelope to the post office for hand canceling. Though I kindly remind you that, due to the nature of the postal service, there is always the risk that items will be lost/delayed/returned/damaged in the process.
Do you ship internationally?
I ship international packages via DHL. Once your pieces are packaged up, I will have the package weighed and invoice you for the exact amount of the shipping costs. The shipping invoice must be paid before the final package is shipped. We are not responsible for delays or any applicable customs fees.
Do you offer day-of items such as programs, menus, table numbers, etc?
Yes! I love creating day-of pieces to match your wedding invitation suite for a well-branded event. Day of stationery is a separate project and billed once your wedding invitations are complete. I recommend booking day-of items 4-6 weeks before your wedding date.
