The festivities began with a warm Hawaiian welcome: a sunset soirée overlooking the ocean. Guests were greeted with a tropical-meets-modern aesthetic featuring warm wood accents, lush and vibrant floral arrangements by Mandy Grace Designs, and striking black stoneware details from Artisan EventsMaui. Every design choice—from the deep green custom menus with crisp white ink to the curated rentals by SetCollections and Rio Event Design—contributed to a relaxed yet elevated vibe.

The welcome party set the tone for the weekend ahead, encouraging guests to connect and soak in the beauty of Maui. Signature cocktails crafted by Garnish Craft Cocktails were a hit, adding a personalized touch to the evening’s offerings.

The Ceremony and Brunch Reception

Payton and Jack’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. Their Catholic ceremony at Keawala’i CongregationalChurch, a historic gem nestled along Maui’s coastline, was steeped in faith and joy. The stunning location served as the perfect backdrop for their heartfelt vows, beautifully captured by Melia Lucida Photography and Sunlit Films.

The celebration continued with an elegant brunch reception that felt like a chic Hawaiian garden party. Under the expert design eye of Couture Events Hawaii, the reception featured romantic floral paired with linens from BBJ La Tavola, creating an intimate yet refined atmosphere. Guests were welcomed by a unique escort display of delicate cloches filled with blooms, and handmade paper menus adorned the tables, showcasing the artisanal craftsmanship of Lupine Letters. Personalized oyster shell place cards added an organic yet sophisticated touch to the tablescape.

Wedding Invitations: A Prelude to Paradise

The stationery suite, designed by Lupine Letters, set the tone for Payton and Jack’s romantic, minimal Makena Beach wedding. Inspired by Maui’s natural beauty, the suite featured a palette of cool blues, deep greens, and soft whites, paired with modern minimalism.

Each piece was a work of art: letterpress printing on handmade paper, a delicate vellum wrap, and fine European twine added layers of texture and luxury.
